How it works

How the courses work

01

You get video instructions

Every lesson is filmed step by step. Plus footage that also shows mistakes, because you learn more from those than from perfect runs.

02

You train whenever it suits you

No fixed appointments, no travel. Short sessions of a few minutes are enough. You work on many of the foundations on the flat, without equipment.

03

You can ask questions

You can ask questions about every course. In the community you also get to exchange ideas with other teams, a monthly live call with me, the training challenge, digital training groups and many more features.

Course Roadmap

Find out where you can start

I explain how the courses build on each other logically and which course makes sense from which age of your dog.

If you then want to know exactly where to start: the next section sorts the courses by where you and your dog are right now.

The quickest way

Where are you right now?

Pick the sentence that fits best. Behind it is the course that will help you most right now.

“We're just getting started.”

Puppy or young dog, no equipment yet. First it's all about working together: motivation, impulse control, listening, a reliable reward system.

“The dogwalk just isn't working.”

In Run It we build the dogwalk contacts through understanding. You can train the first lessons without a dogwalk, too.

“My dog is scared of the seesaw.”

It moves, it makes noise, it demands trust. In Bang It you build that trust with lots of fun and motivation.

“My dog comes back to me when I hang back.”

Distance work rarely fails because of the distance, but because of obstacle focus. In this course your dog learns to take an obstacle independently and work it all the way through.

“Our weaves aren't running smoothly.”

Whether learning them from scratch or fixing them: in Skill Building Weaves your dog builds understanding for every weave entry, using the 2x2 method.

“My dog explodes at the start.”

A start is only reliable once your dog understands what is happening. In Startline Bootcamp you rebuild it completely in four modules.

Skill Compass

Find the right course in five minutes

The Skill Compass asks you four short questions about your dog and where you are in your training. At the end you get a recommendation for the course that's best to continue with.

Before you ask

Frequently asked questions

From what age can my dog join in?
From eight weeks, with the “Basics for Sport Dogs” course. It is designed for this age group and adapted to the physical and mental development of your puppy. Equipment only comes in much later.
Do I need my own course?
Not to get started. All courses are designed so that you can build the foundations on the flat without equipment. In the later lessons of many courses you will of course need access to the obstacle you want to train. What a course requires is listed on every course page under “What you need”.
Can every dog do agility?
Your dog should be physically fit and already know how to work with you. Agility is not suitable for very large and heavy dog breeds.
Isn't an online course worse than real training?

That depends on what it's about. For building new skills, an online course often has the edge, because you can work in smaller steps and practice at home in short sessions. Handling, on the other hand, is best learned in real training with a trainer.

How much time do I need to set aside?
Ideally three to four times a week, in short sessions at home. There are no appointments you have to keep.
How long do I have access?

For single courses, 12 months of access to all content of that course. In the community, for as long as you are a member.

Do I get feedback on my videos?
In the community you can post short videos of about 30 seconds that show your problem, and you get feedback from the group. Individual trainer feedback on every session is not part of the offer.
Still unsure?

Then just ask me

Drop me a quick line about where you and your dog are and what you're working on right now. I'll tell you which course suits you. It costs nothing and usually takes just one email.

And now?

Start with one topic, not all of them

The most common mistake is working on five things at once. Pick the one thing that's holding you back the most right now and work through it in a focused way. The rest comes after that.
